It’s ‘Dear Santa Letter Week’ and sacks of letters are already arriving at the North Pole-we’re sure your child wants their letter to be among them! Take a look below for places your child can send their letter to receive a response from Santa Claus himself!

If your child wants to write to Santa Claus but does not need a letter back, then your best bet is to have them bring their letter to your nearest Macy’s store. Macy’s has a drop-off mailbox and will donate $1 to the Make-a-Wish foundation for every letter they receive. The letters are then dropped off at the local post office where they may or may not receive a reply. Local volunteers respond to the letters for the post office.

Macy’s
Del Monte Shopping Center
Monterey, CA

or

Macy’s
200 Northridge Center
Salinas, CA

If your child wants to write to Santa Claus and you would like to control what they receive in return, you can compose a letter to your child as if it were written from Santa Claus. Put it in a stamped, sealed and adressed envelope. Place the addressed letter into a larger envelope and ship it to this address:

North Pole Postmark
Postmaster
4141 Postmark Dr.
Anchorage, AK 99530-9998

All letters shipped to Anchorage before December 10 will be delivered back to your child by Christmas. It’s great fun to see surprise in their faces when they receive a letter stamped from the North Pole, written by ‘Santa’ himself!

If your child would like to write to Santa Claus and you want Santa Claus to respond without your help, have your child mail their letter to this address:

Santa Clause
North Pole
HoH oHo
Canada

Make sure to include your full return address and enough postage to power the letter all the way to Canada. While wish lists are good (especially for the workshop elves), Santa really loves to read about your child’s favorite sports, jokes, school activities or family fun (even if Mom and Dad help with the writing). And, of course, he loves to get pictures and drawings from even his youngest pen pals! This will give Santa plenty of ideas on how to write back. If you are going this route, have your child send their letter soon. Generally, letters must be mailed by December 16 to receive a reply (it’s a long way to the North Pole and back!).

And with that, our holiday season is officially underway!
